In the static test, blades are tested for design loads including factors like safety factor, blade variation factor and factor affecting loads due to conversion of loads from operating loads equivalent test load etc. It is performed in multi point, single axis mode.

Electrical Winches capable of applying loads up to 222 KN are used for applying required loads either in horizontal or vertical directions as per customer requirements. These Winches are controlled through a central controller. The loads, displacements and strains are recorded through the "Data acquisition" system for post processing. Video cameras are in place to monitor and record the test activities.
